As part of the Beachworks Artist Series, Element is proud to introduce two of their finest artists, Filipa Da Silva and Aaron Martinez. Together they created a window installation of new works as well as bringing back some of their favorite tee graphics from past Element Eden collections.
Portuguese born artist, Filipa Da Silva, spent her college years at Central Saint Martins in London. After going back and forth between London and Portugal she finally found a home in sunny Southern California. She currently works for Element Eden as a clothing designer and loves participating in art projects with the Element family. Keep believing!
Aaron Martinez was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. In 2003, he earned a BFA in Illustration, graduating from Art Center College of Design with honors. He currently works as a graphic designer for Element Skateboards and creates artwork specifically for the women’s clothing line, Element Eden. Aaron draws inspiration from contemporary artists such as Barry McGee, Raymond Pettibon and Marcel Dzama, as well as from comic books, Japanese animation, and film noir. He loves all cats everywhere and enjoys seeing movies, riding his bike, and exploring places he’s never been before.
